Details
TF-KGJZ heating cables are intended for accumulative floor heating in residential and also public buildings. Heating cables are installed in the concrete or anhydrite screed layer. Depending on the investor’s preferences, the flooring may be finished with: Grès stoneware tiles, stone, marble, layered floorboard, laminate flooring panel, vinyl floorboard.

Termofol TF-KGJZ heating wires can be the primary heating system for rooms, buildings, being the only self-sufficient source of heat. They can as well constitute a supporting heating system, installed to achieve the effect of a warm floor.
Storage underfloor heating is characterised by high thermal inertia, thanks to which we can take advantage of cheaper electricity available in the G12 tariff from 10p.m. until 6a.m. as well as from 01p.m. until 03p.m. Besides that, electric storage heating must be properly programmed so that the temperature in the room is comfortable.
Differences between storage and direct underfloor heating
Direct floor heating is characterised most importantly by a short heating time and low thermal inertia. This allows us to dynamically change the temperature of the floor as well as precise scheduling. Heating films installed under floating floors and heating mats mounted in a layer of elastic glue are referred to as direct floor heating, while heating cables poured in a layer of concrete substrate are a storage heating floor system. The storage underfloor heating is characterised by high thermal inertia, which makes the heating time of the floor longer, as well as the time of heat transfer to the room.
The choice of the system should be adjusted to the investor’s individual preferences, but above all to the insulation of the building.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
IT IS FORBIDDEN:
- to shorten the heating cable. It is allowed to shorten the power cord if necessary.
- to repair the heating cable yourself. Any damage should be also reported to a qualified installer authorized by TERMOFOL.
- to crush the “cold joint”
- to subiect the cable to excessive tension, such as stretching or impact with sharp tools.
- to lay the heating cable at an ambient temperature of <5 degrees C.
- to install the cable in places where fixed buildings are planned (e.g. chests of drawers without legs).
- to install the end muff and the muff connecting the heating cable with the power cable outside the ground. The joints must be embedded in the concrete screed or self-leveling screed.
- to bend the end and connection muffs.
- to use screws and nails for assembly. Installation should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
